CLAIM REJECTION REASONS
Good day I have registered a claim for my stove that breaks due to load shedding at ABSA HOC department a month ago. During the first few days I've received unending phone calls asking me if I was assisted with my claim. After the first week heard nothing from them, I contact them and every time there was different excuses. When I contact them again the lady check on the system and share with me the claim was rejected due too low maintenance. I was so disguised because we had the stove for more than 10 years and this is the reason?? I then send a email to the complaints department to review my claim where someone with the name of Mapule informed me the reason my claim was repudiated is due to every day use. Does this mean I am not allowed to use my stove every day? Is this part of the policies of ABSA? This is unacceptable what is the real reason now for rejecting my claim. I disputed my claim get an assessor paid R700 forward he report and receive this feedback. I have check the attached report/documentation and it confirm that the damages to the stove were as a result of it been faulty as per below and the HOC policy does not respond positively to the damages of this nature.
“ After assessment found that the wires on the stove has burned and three switches is faulty and one plate is faulty and this could be due to an electrical fault ” Our stance in this claim will remain the same.
Please assist in this regard I do not agree with this outcome that has two different reasons for rejection. Claim number :***
Thank you
I hope to hear from you soonest, this is totally unacceptable and the service I’ve received was poor. Is it then my duty as a client to follow up on a claim every time???
