Bad service HOC policy

Want to cancel HOC insurance with ABSA as I have taken new insurance cover. Unable to get through contact center and unable to get confirmation via email if policy cancelled. Been over a month. Also been asked to cede a whole new policy in favour of ABSA by consultant who do not have a clue on procedure to cancel HOC insurance or what is required by the bank.
