Avoid ABSA Insurance Company

This review is based on my opinion, experience & perception. Anyone who has a home loan with ABSA should move their homeowners insurance to any other insurer as soon as the loan is settled. When it is no longer their asset they will use every bit of fine print to decline a claim, regardless of how legitimate. We were a model client for 28 years and then they weaseled their way out of any compensation when we claimed for flood damage. They hid behind 'engineers' reports, contradictory clauses in the policy and legalese. In fact, avoid ABSA altogether when it comes to home loans.
