AVOID ABSA INSURANCE AT ALL COSTS

STAY AWAY FROM ABSA INSURANCE.

I'm writing my second scathing review this year after being driven to the brink of insanity by Absa Insurance's ineptitude. Despite numerous calls (over 20 and counting!), I've been met with a dizzying array of errors, misinformation, and downright deceit.

Here's a brief rundown of my ordeal:

Had an issue with unrealistic increase in premium during my assessment which got sorted in Feb. End of February they debited me twice, with the new premium and the old premium they decided to come cook up in December with zero substantiation. I reversed that debit order because there was nothing on paper that said I need to pay 2 premiums a month. Now in March they did the same thing. Worst part is that they debited me twice with the premium I have been calling they about since December, of which they ensured me that it was a system error. Tell me why they don’t want to reimburse me because according to them I did not pay in February. This insurance company makes me so sick I want to cancel it so bad but it takes 2 hours to get ahold of an agent and the agents are always clueless.

The cherry on top? Absa Insurance is now refusing to reimburse me for the incorrect premiums they deducted.

If you value your sanity and your hard-earned money, STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM ABSA INSURANCE! Their incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction are truly staggering.

I am not happy that you are saying you will only try to sort this out by the 10th of Apr. That is too far for me considering that I need to use that money for my other debit orders. This is inconveniencing me in so many ways. I have been calling using my money, being put on hold for a good hour before I can speak to an agent (since Jam 2025) and you still want to take 7 business days to investigate debit orders? How *********** is the team? You don’t take long to do insurance quotes but you take 7 working days to follow up on a dispute?
