ABSA Tyre & Rim insurance

I have written this review under Innovation Group but also like to flag ABSA insure as they sold me the policy and up to date did nothing to assist me.

I app**** via ABSA insure for an innovation Tyre and Rim Policy on 21 February 2024. The agreement when this policy was issued to me is that I will be covered on the day of my first debit order and can only claim 30 days after this date. These funds were already deducted on 15 March. I submitted a claim (820531) on 22 April. This is 39 days after my debit order went off. According to innovation my policy only started on 27 March 2024. ABSA neglected to pay fund over to Innovation on time. From my side I met all the requirements as per my agreement with ABSA insure on the date of the claim, hence making my claim valid. The issue of payment to innovation is between ABSA and innovation and must be delt with between the two parties. It is unfair to send me (the customer) the whole time from one section and company to the other to try and sort this out. I sent them all the proof that I received from ABSA insure.

I was struggling from 22 April to 24 April to sort out their mess (about twenty calls between me, innovation, and ABSA). On 24 April 2024 they suddenly approved my claim but only for the rim repair and wheel alignment as they indicated that my wheel was worn out. This is impossible as my vehicle was serviced on 22 March 2024 by BMW Bloemfontein and that the tyres was examined as part of this service. As can been seen on the service report there were also no alignment issues on the vehicle. The vehicle was services at 110 876km and the claim is on 111 631km. It is impossible for a tyre to be so quickly worn out in only 755 km as you have indicated. There were no alignment issues as they indicated, then the other front wheel should also have been damage if there were alignment issues. After sending them this prove on 24 April I was informed that the isseus is now beeing dealt as a complaint and I have to wait up to seven days for a response. This is inexseptable as I am currently stranded and are unable to use my vehilcle.
