ABSA Trust: Ongoing lack of communication regarding deceased estate and will

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding ABSA Trust Limited and the complete lack of assistance and communication we have experienced concerning a deceased estate and will.

ABSA Trust Limited is clearly nominated as the executor in the will. Despite this, we have been struggling for an extended period to obtain any meaningful information, guidance, or feedback from ABSA regarding the status of the will, the estate process, or the next steps required from our side.

Multiple attempts have been made to contact ABSA through the appropriate channels, yet we continue to receive either no response or vague responses that do not resolve the matter. This has caused unnecessary stress, delays, and uncer*****y for the family during an already difficult time.

At this stage, we are simply requesting: • Confirmation that ABSA Trust has the will on record • Clear confirmation of the current status of the estate • The name and contact details of the responsible estate administrator • Written guidance on what documentation or actions are still required from the beneficiaries

It is unacceptable that beneficiaries are left without basic information when ABSA has been formally appointed as executor. We expect a professional level of service, accountability, and communication.

We trust that this public complaint will prompt ABSA to urgently engage with us and bring this matter to resolution without further delay.
