ABSA INSURANCE IS A F***ing ****

I've been with Absa home insurance as a client for the past 17 years, never missing a payments. on the 3rd of November 2020 we experienced our first ever major home damage as a result of a burst geyser. The service received since registering our claim has been poor from some of the consultant as well as the assessors. We were not adequate feedback even after numerous follow up calls the was no response and the don't get back to you. Our claim was not paid in full they weaseled out of payments once they received the requested quotes on items the were to be replaced. The clothing, bedding and linen items that were supposed to be replaced were in plastic bags still damp for over a month before they changed their minds and decided to have it dry cleaned, the items were returned in a poor condition even after being dry cleaned. Repairs to the property damaged only started 23rd of November and ran through until 23rd of December, when the contractors closed for December. The repairs are still incomplete and we are currently in a dispute about the quarter rounds. We received a call from a consultant who is demanding proof of a verbal agreement between myself and the assessor, and says that she can not assist us without proof. My husband was witness to the conversation between myself and the assessor and she said she can't take that as proof. After being a client for all this time I can not believe the we were treated like absolute sh*t, this is honestly unacceptable and great disappointment from an institution that we trusted until now. Absa speaks of "Bringing your possibilities to life" but in actual fact they are just taking from your life and not giving anything in return, where is the so called "Africanacity" in this @Absa Group Ltd.

Geyser burst 3 November all my clothes and bedding got wet. Absa Insurance said don't move anything until they send someone out. Clothes and bedding laid wet in closet from 3rd until 13 Nov 2020 then only was the clothes and bedding put in black bags and taken away by Absa. On the 11 December I was asked for quotes by Absa send quotes on the 14 December when they saw amount for the quotes they had the clothes and bedding washed on the 16th December so things laid wet and soiled for 6 weeks. What a disgrace they expect me to use the clothes and bedding and only want to pay me R6800 for clothes and bedding that amount to R98000. They had to replace the closet because it was badly damaged. Absa Insurance u should be ashamed of yourself for treating your client of 17 years in this manner.
