Absa Insurance delaying paying my refund

My vehicle was written off in November of 2025 and Absa insurance refused my claim ( this is not my complaint). My complaint is near end of November 2025 when I contacted Absa Insurance to enquire if I should cancel the policy on my vehicle the call centre agent informed me that they will cancel the insurance for my vehicle from their side. From December 2025 till April 2026 Absa Insurance still deducted the premiums for my vehicle, I contacted Absa Insurance on 24 April 2026 and the agent said that they will remove the vehicle from my policy and refund me (almost R 5000) back dated from December 2025 (5 months) till April 2026. The agent said that the refund will take between 5-7 working days to be paid into my account (4 May 2026 was day nr 5 and 6 May 2026 was day nr 7). I phoned Absa Insurance on 4 May 2026 to confirm if everything was on track for my refund and the agent confirmed that the refund is at their finance department, on 6 May 2026 the refund was still not paid into my account and when I phoned Absa Insurance the agent told me to wait. I contacted Absa Insurance again on 7 May 2026 (day nr 8) and the agent told me that my refund is at their Head office and a person must release the funds ( I was on hold for 40 mins) after being on hold the agent told me that the funds will be paid into my account within a couple of minutes. 8 May 2026 I contacted Absa Insurance AGAIN and the agent told me I should wait longer and all of the sudden the request for the refund was only submitted on 6 May 2026 (even after informing the agent that, that is incorrect she she ignored the fact that I called them for the refund on 24 April and again on 4 May where the agent confirmed that the refund is at their finance department and after my call on 7 May where the agent said the funds will be released into my account in a couple of minutes) and apparently there is no notes from my call of the 7th of May 2026. I don't know who is lying to me and who is keeping me for a fool.
