ABSA Insurance Company

AIC approaches people with attractive discount structures on short term insurance but after signing up on the policy they change their t & c. And all this is done after you accept the policy. Sneaky tactic to say the least. I was recently approached by a consultant from AIC as i bank with ABSA. I was offered a very attractive premium of my portfolio which i eventually accepted.

Today ( 01/08/25 ) i called in to AIC to add on a new vehicle and i was told by the consultant that i need to choose my excess structure which is way more than what is on my existing policy. When i queried this i was told that AIC is considering changing the excess amount. This is definitely misleading the public and as far as i am concerned FALSE Advertising. I am highly disappointed in ABSAs' approach and i will be changing to another insurance company. Guys please be careful when approached by ABSA Insurance .
