Absa Inept & Arrogant
My dispute with Absa idirect Insurance has been ongoing since April and I wanted to cancel my policy months ago. However, because it had dragged on for so long and OSTI was involved (another worthless entity) I didn’t want to further jeopardise the outcome. Despite all the poor service and AIC weaseling its way out of paying a penny of the substantial flood damage incurred, Absa chose to debit a pro rata premium for 3 or 4 days in November (under R100) before the policy cancellation became effective. Waiving this premium should have been the least they could have done by way of a token apology, but it appears that Absa is too arrogant or uncaring to make that kind of gesture.
