ABSA Idirect, word of warning to the public...

<p> If you are wise and is looking at reviews before appointing a new insurer, please avoid ABSA I direct at all costs. This company repudiate claims in every instance they can. Their premiums might be low but they have no intention of paying for any of your claims. It has happened to me on Household, Motor and Builing insurance claims. They also offer terrible service and do not communicate with you...you have to constantly chase them up and its a lengthy process to find your case consultant. The attitude of the consultants are condescending and non-caring and its clear that they do not care about you as the client. They also do not put anything in writing, always a suspicious action in my mind. The one claim that they did honour with me took 7 months to complete and they still managed to do a extremely shoddy job...no follow-up afterwards and as the client you are held hostage by the low quality contractors they appoint. </p> <p>On my latest claim for a boundry wall collapse they didn't make any effort to make me or my property safe or speed up the process, considering that my life, animals and possesions were in danger and did not substanciate their repudiation of my claim.</p> <p>I would steer clear of ABSA I direct and would not consider them ever again in the future to insure any of my property or possesions.</p> <p>Luckily I work in Real Estate and I will be advising all my current and future clients not to use ABSA or I-Direct, considering my own terrible experience with them.</p> <p>NEVER use ABSA I-Direct.</p>
