ABSA Home owners cover

I have absa home owners cover which is completely useless as I submitted a claim for a pipe that burst in my kitchen causing damage to the cupboards and tiles. They have had every excuse under the sun not to pay for the damages. They claim i did not maintain the pipes,I asked them what is the maintenance schedule on pipes and taps and they could not tell me. They claim that the policy says maintenance on pipes should be done but they can't tell me what the maintenance is. I have asked for the assessors report and they refuse to give it to me. I have spoken to plumbers that have said there is no maintenance schedule on pipes or taps unless you need to replace a washer or repair a leaking pipe.I will be moving my banking, home loan and any other insurance cover to FNB at the end of November. I have been a banking client for more than 30 years and this is the treatment you get after paying premiums without fail. This was an honest and ligitimate claim but absa have avoided paying. Beware of them as I have had many people complain about the same thing.
