Absa Home Content - Auckland Park Department Failing to

Case - C-***7

Absa house content failed me so bad, firstly a asked for the item I submitted for my claim that was approved on the 3rd of July 2025, they send me the incorrect picture with the incorrect model number, they say they got a quotation for my item for R3399.00, when I contact takealot direct they send me a link with the correct ME number the item is worth R5399 but they are giving me a quotation of R3399 instead of R5399, I've waisted my airtime contacting them and my time, they are not resolving my issue, instead they keep on giving incorrect quotation, this has been going on since the 3rd of July, I've escalated to their complain department they are not helping instead they keep on postponing outcome, I don't think people want to insure their items where when they claim for the first time they will struggle the way I'm struggling, they do not tell you that when they claim they use the model number to get quotation, they using incorrect items to quote whereas there is that item still in stock, the exact same item is available on Takealot but they are quoting me on lower item, I used the same model number and description and got the exact same item for R5399 not R3399.

There is a Bennett read blender same item for R1499.95 at Bennett read store direct, they are quoting me for R559 which is not the exact same product, I did send them a quotation, I've send them quotations for both these items, but they still do their own quotation which are way less than what the market has in stock for the items, I've tried to contact both Zandile Mabaso and Godfrey Ndou no one is coming back to me, there is nothing that says I cannot submit my own quotation, if I'm not satisfied with what they are quoting me for I have a wring to submit my own quotations because my items were approved.

Today is the 11th of July, complaint department promised that there will be a solution my issue will be resolved on the 9th then postponed to today, today I'm getting a message saying they are escalating to management and complain department of which that was suppose to have been done long time ago, again they are promising to resolve this matter today, but they keep on using incorrect model number to quote me for my replacement items, they are literally wanting me to take R3800 for items that are worth R7779.00
Dear Ms. Msiza,
I trust you are well.
Apologizes for the delayed response.
The claim has been escalated to management and complaints department , they will conclude the matter today latest and provide feedback later during the course of the day or before close of business.
Keep well.
Kind regards,

Hi Zandile,
Why is this matter being escalated again when you had a meeting with your supervisor at 9:30am to finalise it?
You initially used the incorrect model number to get a quotation from Takealot. I’ve already sent the correct model, including the Takealot link and quotation. I also attached the correct price for my blender directly from Bennett Read.
This issue was already escalated to the complaints department when Godfrey was handling it. He promised feedback by the 9th, then it moved to the 11th — and now you're only escalating again today?
This has been going on since the 3rd of July, and today is the 11th. The delay is unnecessary and the response below is unacceptable.
Please resolve this today.
Regards
Zodwa,

Good day Ms. Msiza,
Please find below information regarding the description. Samsung ME6194ST - Same as your model - see below from Samsung it doesn't say "mirror finish" even with other stores as well - the description differs but model is the same. We concentrate on the model number when replacing because it gives us the correct replacement. I assure you this is the correct replacement.

I will believe that when I get a quotation with correct amounts today, it's frustrating to be paying insurance of R1800 a month for the past 3 years, when I claim for the first time Absa want to rip me of and give me R3800 for Microwave, Kettle and Blender that is worth R7700, that money will not buy even one item.

Hi,

Please can I get feedback on my claim, have you updated according to the quotations I submitted?
Its funny cause my white colleague is surprised on how I'm being treated, she put a claim with her quotations and it was approved, are you giving preference according to raise.

Absa has treated me unfairly with unfair outcome, they rejected my quotation and settled my matter with amount way lower than what I should get which doesn't cover even one of my items.
Again if it was a white person they would have accepted the quotations, the way they dont take black people serious, in that rejection letter, my surname is spelled incorectly and my address is incorrect.

My address is 39 Mthethwa, on the letter they've written 34 Mthethwa, and my surname is Msiza they written Mzisa.

I'm not happy about the outcome not at all, but it's fine all of them who handled this matter unfairly they are planting they will reap.
