Unwanted account
Earlier this year I app**** online for an Ackerman card. Somehow the entry form I completed turned out to be that of identity. When I realized my mistake identity had already emailed me and informed me that I should fetch my card at the nearest store to activate my account. I never went to collect my card and I also sent them an email asking them to close the unactivated account since I am not interested in persuing credit at identity. They emailed me back and asked for details which I provided. Since the credit card was not activated according to them I left it. They emailed me back however and informed me that they cannot close my account I have to come to the shop. So number one: they cannot close an unactivated account that was opened over the internet upon the owner of that accounts request over email. Number 2: If the account is unactivated how can it reflect on my credit score?
