Unauthorized credit reports for two months

On the 16 of August 2023 I went to Identity at wonderpark mall do to a laybuy. I received an alert that 2 credit inquiries have been made on my account by identity and truworths. I contacted identity via their Facebook page to query why those enquiries were made because I did not apply for credit or an account. I was informed that a credit enquiry is made when one does a laybuy (pathetic reason). My questions are as follows : 1. Why did you run two credit enquiries? I did not do my laybuy at truworths and if both companies fall under one umbrella then one credit enquiry should be enough. 2. Anther enquiry was done again by truworths on the 17th of October. Why? I did not do an additional laybuy. Credit enquiries mess up our credit records or profile. I am in the process of buying a home and this has detrimental effect on weather I will be granted a bond or not because it looks as if I walk around applying for credit and that is not the case. Remove those enquiries. I will be reporting this matter to TransUnion and if I do not receive assistance, Twitter will follow. This is just pure nonsense. We take years to build healthy credit profiles just for them to be messed up unnecessarily by greedy retail stores. I do laybuy at many shops but none have done such to my profile.
