Sale items not on sale due to different seasons

29/01/2024, went into Identity Eastgate as they had a sale sign up with all the items on sale by the door. Tried on a black jacket, which had no price tag on the sleeve, only the little plastic piece that held no tag, meaning it was broken off or came off?.

The smaller size had a red price sticker with the original price highlighted in green.. so I took the jacket without the tag.. tried it on.. and proceeded to the counter with both jackets. The cashier did not need the smaller size for the price.. she got the price from the system, and thank goodness I checked.. the item I wanted to purchase was the full price of R 599 and NOT the sale price of the smaller size for R 399.. WHY?? The reason I was told that the item was R 599 (keeping in mind that the item was the exact same jacket, style and cut found in the SAME SALE section as the size 32) was because of the season it was produced! Never heard of this ever when I have purchased items found in a SALE section next to the exact same item in a smaller size - new excuse??

Why is it even in the sale section if it was full price, and someone was just to lazy to reprint the price tag and attach it to the jacket?? Cashier with the cream hat wanted to call the manager, to explain it to us as well, but that is a ridiculous reason that an item found in the SALE section by the entrance / exit, was found next to the same jacket, in a smaller size would be full price and the small size would be on sale!!

New tactic for staff to keep the items and purchase it for themselves??

Definitely will not be going into an Identity store anytime soon with the new price changes with regards to sale items being produced in different seasons and not being the same price!
