Return of an item

I had purchsed a skirt from idenetity now i am an account holder at identity and the service i received from the Identity at Westgate was appalling to say the least. I wanted to return it i purchsed it last week and they told me that i couldnt return it becuase the elastic on the dress wasnt to their standards they said it was worn. Now here are my issue s with that: Firstly the item was worn before, Secondly i purchased it for my litlle cousin who said the fit wasnt right and that she didnt like it anymore due to the ill fit of the skirt. I was there and the skirt wasnt worn again just fit to see if its good because she was unavailable on the day i bought it so i went ahaead and bought it because she needed a black tutu skirt.

Thirdly as a customer i could've been treated way better even if they were delivering news that i didnt want to hear. I was dismissed like a problematic fly by the guy assisting me who was the manager i presume because the cashier called him to help. The cashier left me hanging at the counter and the manager fella after i asked him to get someone who could help me he said he cant and that i must got back to the Identity at randfontein where i bought the skirt, which was totally unaclled for. If you tell customers they can exchange or return at any Identity then its totally wrong to tell me to go back where i bought it coz they might accept it there. Fourthly I have purchsed items from the Identity that were not up to the best standard and kept the item becuase i liked it and it had looked like it was worn before but i always assume that it was just fitted by the previous customer, there are sometimes items on the racks that are dirty, soiled or tron that you guys still feel the need to sell so this matter regarding the elastic cannot be correct because i could have purchsed the skirt withthe elastic stretched and i had no problem taking it You guys cannot accuse me of the skirt being worn. The skirt in question they said was stretched and now if someone tries on the skirt to see the fit and they have in on theor waist and that person bends or prances around the skirt in the house to get a feel for it i can gaurantee that the elastic will stretch, You find creased clothes all the time on the floor that customers have returned so lease someome explain to me how you determine that someone wore that item for other purposes that fitting. Was the item giving off a smell indicating its been worn? Could you see a missing thread or button? How do you guys determine that. Becuase i can walk into an other Identity store right now and find that the item was just fitted only and the elastic has stretched.

Back to the manager who was assisting me, after i asked for someone to help me he walked away from me answered a pesronal call on his cellphone then walked towards another staff member without even informing me what he will do to assist. So after a few minutes of not being helped in any way i walked out and left my receipt and the skirt in question. I am truly disappointed by this service and i would like this matter looked into urgently
