No Guarantee in their watches regardless of whats written at the back of the receipt.

I bought a watch at Identity in September, now yesterday I figured that one of the hands of the watch is broken and the watch has stopped moving. I then went to the store for an exchange because I believed that the watch had a guarantee. I couldn't find the receipt therefore I asked them to look it up on my account history and they did. They then told me that their watches only have a 14 day guarantee for an exchange , I asked them where is that written and they said it's what they tell customers, the workers at store where I bought the watch were supposed to tell, on their side they always do that with their customers so that they are aware. Again I asked them where in the terms and conditions is that written, they said it falls under the accessory terms because a watch is not a jewellery it's an accessory. I then asked why is the receipt written that watches must be returned with the guarantee certificate is they don't have guarantees. To my surprise I was told that that condition applies to Truworths and not Identity but why is it written on the Identity receipt if it's a Truworths only thing? They said because the watches that are sold at Truworths are jewellery and theirs are just accessories. It went on to be a huge argument between me and 2 of their stuff one being the manager I believe. Raising their voices at me about terms and conditions that they as the stuff know and I as a customer don't know and contradicts what's written as the terms and conditions.
