no exchange

My daughter bought a shirt as a gift for fathers day on Saturday 20/06/2015 . I took same back to store to exchange for a larger one on Monday 22/06/2015. I did not have the cash slip but the tag and bar code was on the garment. The manageress did say that she was sorry but could not do anything to help because I did not have the slip. it was company policy. I left details with her but haven't heard anything yet. I understand that you cannot claim without a slip but surely the store can assist by checking through the sales record. So now it means that the shirt must be discarded

Hello surjooram,

Thank you for your post and affording us the opportunity to respond.

We acknowledge the frustration that customers experience when attempting to return a gift without a gift receipt, or any other proof of purchase. The gift receipt can be requested at the time of purchase and facilitates an effortless return in line with our Returns Policy, as the price of the item is masked.

We have liaised with the Store Manager at the reported store and as the transaction was done on your daughter's debit card and you had no proof of purchase, the store was unable to retrieve a copy of the transaction.

We acknowledge your frustration regarding this matter, and as a result we wish to apologise to you for any inconvenience that resulted from it. We can confirm that you have been contacted and that this matter was satisfactorily resolved.

We value your feedback and encourage you to contact us on *** or via email on *** and we will gladly assist.

Best regards,

Chevola
