Identity returns not possible

I have an Identity account which I have not used for a number of years. In December, I purchased 3 items and the fit and length was not right. Being just a few days before Christmas, I put it in my car to return after the crazy period. It so happened, I forgot about the return, since I rarely buy clothing on account. During the month of February, I tried to return the items and was told I cannot return them for a credit. I was told to return to the store at the weekend when a manager is available. I then returned to the store, where the manager had to speak to the area manager and provide details of my purchase and subsequent intention for a credit. To my dismay, I was refused a credit and was told to come and exchange the items for something else.

How is this possible that we are unable to return a purchase, in the exact condition as when it was purchased and are forced to take other items. So now, I'm getting text messages telling me to pay my account and here I am tryin to obtain a credit, which has been refused. How is this even allowed to happen. I can purchase from Woolworths and am allowed to return within 3 months for a full credit, no questions asked, as long as the items are in the original condition, with price tags, while producing your sales receipt as proof of your purchase. I then tried to reach a store or are manager to engage in a conversation to discuss my predicament, and there are no numbers available . The only way to contact Identity is to call them for online purchases and all their communication methods do not invite or accept credit requests. All I intend to do is to return the unused, new items for a full credit and close my account , which I am unable to do. So now, I have 3 items of clothing that do not fit and that I am forced to pay for. This level of service has never been experienced before and I would not recommend having an account with Identity, should you ever have the desire to open one. They are happy to sell to you but do not want you to return your purchase
