Identity Insurance division delayed/slow departmen

I was retrenched on the 30th November 2015 but only went to the Identify store in the phoenix plaza at the end of december and made an insurance claim, I submitted all the relevant documents and was advised the insurance that I have would cover the balance of my account, the lady assisting me was very helpful and professional, she advised me everytime I come into the centre to follow up with the progress of the insurance. By the end of of January I started receiving calls from the call centre as the account fell into arrears, affecting my credit profile and dealing with call centre agents that did not read their notes before calling me and kept demanding payment, the last female agent telling me its my responsibility to follow up on my account and was rude, I cut the call and did not take any more calls from the Identity call centre, I dont even take calls because of the harassment, It is 3 months later my account is in arrears and Identity has messed up my credit profile and when I try looking for alternate employment the account being in arrears lowers my chances of employment. I need the Insurance department to pay up the account asap and update my credit profile asap<br>

Hello JoePydiah,

Thank you for your post.

We were concerned to read of your experience with your insurance claim. As the insurance policy mentioned in your post is underwritten by Hollard insurance and administered by Finrite, we liaised directly with them in this regard.

We were informed that the documentation received by them was not certified and therefore your claim could not be processed. This being said, the manner in which you were assisted is not in line with the high service standard we have come to expect from our affiliates and we have therefore brought your concerns to the attention of their management team.

We believe that a representative from Finrite has contacted you and made arrangements with you to send the required certified documentation for the processing of your claim. Further to this once the claim has been finalized, an instruction will be sent to all credit bureaus to update the status your Truworths payment profile.

We trust that we have satisfactorily attended to your query and we sincerely apologize on behalf of Finrite for your experience and any inconvenience caused as a result of this matter.

Kindest regards,

Lynn
