I HAD TO BEG THEM TO FIT CLOTHES

On the 16/07/2015 I went to the Identity store in Pretorius street I got there 15 minutes before they close so they closed the doors at 17:30 and I found what I was looking for I then asked if I can go and fit the item, Grace or Maria said I am not allowed to fit because the store is closed so I asked her what she suggest I do should I buy the item without fitting it or should I come back the next day, she did not have an answer and the other one came and rudely interrupted saying I must ask them nicely to fit because they closed.so I wasn't sure if they want me to beg or bribe them to fit, I got very upset because I am the customer and they must treat the customers with respect, what they don't know is that the bad things that they do or say to the customers spread quickly and they will loose business. loosing 1 customer can have a huge impact on the business, they are not well mannered I have decided to close my Identity account I want nothing to do with them anymore. there are lots of shops that I can go to but I chose to go to them despite what has happened previously. they need proper customer service training. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED

Hello phumziletiny1983,

We strive to offer our customers fashion and service that consistently meets and exceeds our standards of excellence. The service you have described is not at all in line with our company standards and we immediately escalated this matter to the relevant Area Manager for investigation.

The Area Manager informed us that the staff in question did not follow the correct procedure which is that whilst a customer is in our store, they should be able to fit a garment, irrespective of the store's closing time. The appropriate corrective action will be taken to ensure that our high service standards are upheld at all times.

We believe that you were informed of this following your telephone discussion with the Area Manager.

We hope the attention afforded to your query has reassured you of your importance to our company and that you will reconsider your decision to close your account with us.

We encourage you to contact us on *** or send an e-mail to *** if you have any further queries.

Yours sincerely,

Lynn
