Gift Exchange

Hi There,<br> <br> I received a gift for my birthday and the size of the item is incorrect, therefore I took it to Identity to exchange it just for another size and they refuse to take it back without the receipt document...even though I explained to them that I received it as a gift for my birthday, hence I don't have the receipt. The manager at Gateway- Val advised if I can ask the person who has gifted it to me if it was bought Cash or Account, and date of purchase in order for them to try and retrieve the document from their side. I advised Val that it was bought Cash and the person who has gifted it to me cannot remember the exact date she made the purchase. I later learnt from the person who gifted me the item bought it from the Plaza Branch (which I was not able to inform Val of) The manager advised unfortunately they will not be able to do the exchange for me without the receipt or exact details of purchase. I am really disappointed considering the amount of business I give Identity and its a simple size exchange...I will be taking the exact same item, just in a bigger size...I do not see why this is such a big issue!!!<br> <br> Please help,
