False promise on delivery date

Two days they told me my delivery for online shopping will be delivered, I cancelled my plans and waited no delivery as it was promised yesterday via sms, when I call the call center they aren't sure when they will deliver my parcel. Why send me the incorrect delivery confirmation sms.
