expired Credit Note

shopped at the retail store called Identity. I purchase a shirt from the store. It was not fitting me so I decided to return the shirt. Upon returning the shirt the sales lady offered me credit note. I agreed and when I was issued the credit note I folded it and place it into my wallet. No one had informed me that the credit note will expiry after two months. On Saturday I saw a shorts I liked at the Identity store and decided to use my credit note only to be informed that it had expired and there is nothing they can do. I asked the store to speak to the area manager she also refused not willing to speak to me. I want my money refunded back to me. R230. This is a total ******* from Identity. I will never shop with them again. I will not recommend them to my family and friends.

Hello ravi0903,

Thank you for your post and allowing us the opportunity to respond.

We acknowledge your frustration in this regard however wish to confirm that credit notes are only valid for three months from the original date of issue which is clearly stated on the credit note.

This being said, upon receipt of your post we liaised with the Area Manager of the store and following her investigation, she has verified that whilst you were correctly informed that expired credit notes cannot be re-used, the store could have handled this matter in a professional manner.

We can confirm that we have contacted you in this regard and were able to successfully resolve this matter for you. We look forward to seeing you in our stores again soon.

Kind regards,

Lynn
