Is it strange that today I receive a statement from Identipet for five years of having a chip in two of my cats, both of which have been dead for some time? Or doesn't it matter that my chipped pets aren't alive anymore? In any case, how you can you charge an annual fee for a chip that I had to pay for upfront? Why was I not told at any point that there's some kind of rental fee involved in this in the first place? It's not as if other chip companies have this business model (we have new cats now and I was informed upfront that the cost of the chipping is once-off). And how can Identipet have a business model that is unaffected by whether the chipped animal is alive or dead? I'm not paying for this out-of-the-blue statement, the first one I've seen after five years.
