No Quality Control

My brother is getting married Mid November 2016 so I purchase my 3 year old daughter a beautiful Victorian style white dress for the wedding. We never tried on the dress at the shop because it was white and took it home. When we got home she tried her dress on and because she’s a big girl the dress was just the right fit ( size 5-6 years) So I decided to take it back. When we returned the dress the shop consultant pointed out that the dress was stained with makeup, the flower decoration was off color/ a little brownish ( which I thought was the design of the flower and was planning on removing it) and the hem of the dress was loose ( you could see the thread of an uncompleted job from the factory) which we did not notice because of the design when we purchased the dress. But you would see if you were looking defaults on the dress.

My daughter tried on the dress for 1 minute because we did not want any accidents and we don’t even wear makeup. We were told that they are sending the dress to Durban where they will determine if it was a quality fault from their side. After a week or two I was informed that we damaged the dress but it’s clear that it’s a quality control mistake from Ideals. I wish I could say that I won’t shop at Ideals again but they have stunning clothes and I will be going back but am very disappointed with my first purchase.
