Increase in consumption

I bought more kilowatts on 29 April 2024, which would last for whole of May. I normally consume an average of 14.6kw per day, this is before the increase in April by Eskom. Surprisingly, it turns out that my daily consumption has gone up 100% as it is now an average of 27.6kw. I don't think this is really in line with the increase of 12% by Eskom.
