******* practice by Ideal Prepaid

Ideal Prepaid is charging me almost double per unit of electricity than what the Municipal Rates are for my area (Meter No: ***). I am paying R2,84 per unit while the highest rate for Tshwane is R1,94. I am paying R1800 for 633.5 units of electricity, while I should be paying R1061,64 for 633.5 units. This is against the law, as NERSA is empowered to regulate the buying and selling of Electricity by the Electricity Regulation Act4 of 2006 and the NERSA guidelines on Electricity resale, prohibits selling of Electricity at a higher rate than what it is bought for. No I complained to Ideal Prepaid regarding this and they said I must take it up with the landlord, which I did and he just said that the rate is the standard rate from Ideal Prepaid... Called them again and they again referred me back to the landlord, because according to them, the landlord establishes the price... Now, your excuse of "the landlord establishes the price" holds no water legally, since YOU are breaking the law by selling electricity at a higher rate, doesn't matter whether the landlord or the president for that matter told you to do it. I want to refer you to the High court ruling (Young Ming Shan CC v. Chagan NO and Others, 2015 (3) SA 227 (GJ)). Please stop your ******* practice of double charging me and presumably others or you will leave me no other choice but to take further action.
