Avoid working as contractor

This company is not commiting to any agreements, payments and contracts. I worked as a contractor and is still not paid for July 2018 since they do “not agree with invoice” after my contract was terminated due to a lack of work in my area. The lack of communication, processes and keeping to contract caused me severe physical losses and emotional damage.
