I regret buying a car from iCar Gezina

<div>I purchased my car from iCar Gezina in November 2024. This is a 2018 Haval H2, and since taking delivery of the vehicle on November 26, 2024, I have experienced numerous mechanical problems. Upon collection, I was informed by staff that there was a slight squeaking sound coming from the car, which would be addressed once a part was ordered. I was assured that I would be contacted once the part was available for installation. However, while waiting for the dealership to reach out, the engine light came on on December 2, 2024. I brought the vehicle to iCar on December 5, 2024, where I was provided with a Renault as a loan vehicle. However, while driving this loan car, I experienced further issues with the gears becoming stiff and ultimately not shifting at all, which caused a considerable amount of distress. I contacted the dealership, and they arranged for the car to be towed back to their location. After much frustration and follow-up, I was eventually provided with a more reliable loan vehicle. My car was in the shop for the remainder of the week, and I was told that it had been sent to Haval for repairs. I retrieved the car at the end of that week, and although the engine light was off, the issues continued. During the Christmas period, the engine light came back on, and I attempted to contact the dealership, only to be informed that they were closed for the holidays and would not reopen until January 6, 2025. On December 27, 2024, I took my vehicle to Haval Woodmead for a full diagnostic. The report I received indicated the following issues: Fault 1: Catalytic converter blockage (Bank 1 oxygen sensor faulty) Fault 2: Clutch switch fault (Requires replacement) Fault 3: Powertrain short to ground, caused by faulty wiring related to previous work performed On January 3, 2025, I forwarded this diagnostic report iCar. Despite this, my car was not immediately taken in for repairs. I drove to the dealership on January 6, 2025, demanding that the car be properly repaired and requesting a loan vehicle. Juan informed me that no loan vehicles were available, which led to a dispute. He asked me to leave and stated that the dealership would contact me the following week, but I received no further communication from them. I was forced to follow up, and the car was eventually booked in for repairs on January 23, 2025, with a loan vehicle provided. On February 4, 2025, I was notified that my car was ready for collection, but no documentation was provided regarding the repairs performed. Unfortunately, today, February 19, 2025, the engine light has reappeared, and I am once again facing discomfort and issues with the vehicle's performance. The car lacks power when changing gears, and I remain deeply concerned about the overall reliability of the vehicle moving forward. I am thoroughly frustrated, disappointed, and dissatisfied with the manner in which this matter has been handled by iCar Gezina. I have escalated this matter to the vehicle finance to intervene with iCar Gezina. I no longer feel confident in the vehicle’s condition and it hasn't even been three months since I've had the car.</div>
