Wrong part no return

I ordered a camshaft position censor for my Nissan 350Z. I gave them my cars vin number to ensure that it is the right part. When I fetched the part I noticed it looked a little different from the original but not to the extent you would know it wasn’t the correct one. So I installed the part but the car’s performance was bad so I just put the old sensor back in. But because it wasn’t the right part it cracked when installing. I understand that it is an electrical part and once used it can not be returned but they supp**** me with the wrong part and refused to exchange it for the correct one or even give me back my money. By trusting their judgement on supplying me the correct part it costed me close to 2k for a sensor that isn’t even one for a Nissan 350z.
