Poor Service that I received from the Hyundai Zambezi dealership in Pretoria
My name is Nomenzelwa Seleka.I am 31 years of age.I am a professional nurse specialist in critical care working in an Adult ICU in a government Hospital.I brought a brand new I20 1.2 Motion Manual 2020 model on the 9th of June 2020.I recently took the car for first service at 15000kms on the 20th of May 2021.Immediately after the service I noticed that there were some changes on the car which I was not happy about. The aircon in the car was no longer working properly, the car was no longer picking up speed like it used to before the service, lastly the car started overheating.I immediately called the dealership service department and I was told to bring the car back so that it can be assessed. An assessment was done on the vehicle and I was told over the phone that the car s engine steel pipe has broken down and needs to be replaced, since the car still on warranty I won't pay for the repairs. Apparently the manager informed me that the parts are not available in South Africa and they will order from India and estimated date of arrival is on the 15th of July 2021.He further said that they do not have loan vehicles and I have to sort myself out while I'm still waiting for the car to be fixed. Now it's over a month now since the car was taken in on the 18th of June and I'm still waiting for the car to be repaired. The dealership doesn't even call to give me updates regarding the vehicle, they just don't care about keeping me updated or even care if I am surviving without the vehicle.I have few questions that I wanna put on the table and find out if I can be assisted in this regard or not Why was I not informed when I bought the car that they do not offer loan vehicles or why was it not stated anywhere in the contract I signed when I bought the car? Why did the car start to give me problems immediately after the service and they failed to identify the faults during the service? Does this imply that the staff of the service department of the Zambezi dealership do not know their work or what they do, or they ***** car parts and sell them behind the scenes on the streets Is it fair for me to struggle with transport when going to work while I'm paying every month for the car that is not there currently but at the dealership? If there is a factory fault already discovered on the vehicle that is a year old, it means I am signing up to paying a s**** car for 6 years or this car needs to be exchanged The service that I receive from the dealership currently as I am never called to be reassured or to be given updates regarding my vehicle what does the consumer protection act and client satisfaction says I this regard My advice to people of South Africa is that do not buy cars or take your cars for services at the Hyundai dealership in Zambezi Pretoria as they treat customers in a bad way and they are not even professional and lastly their cars are faulty.
