Hyundai Venue towing

Bought a Venue based on the unbraked towing rating according to the specifications of 750kg, checked with the salesman that I would be towing up to ****g unbraked. After the purchase, then see that this is ******* according to the SA road traffic regulations, as the unbraked vehicle being towed (trailer) must weigh half the weight of the vehicle towing. The Venue weight is 1085kg. Tried to talk to the dealership, but they are not interested . Now I am stuck with a car that doesn’t suit my purpose.
