Roodeport Hyundia Lack of Ethics and Poor Customer Service.
I'm currently experiencing a problem with Hyundai Roodeport at 39 Ontdekkers Road. In April 2019 I decided to trade in my Hyundia Elantra , and bought brand new Tucson 2.0 Premium A/T at Retail Price of R439 900.00 and paid in just over R94 000 for deposit and other costs just to keep my premiums to R6 600 per Month. Little did I know at 11 000 KM I will need to replace the Rear Wheels as they are worn.
The same week of fetching the vehicle I reported to the Sale Person Zolile Luthuli that I was hearing unsual noises on the Wheels when approaching the Robot or Stop sign. I explained the noises to him telephonically and both wondered where they could be comming from as the car was brand new , but since it is my fourth Hyundia vehicle and the relationship I had established with Dealership was good , I thought either they will call me to have the vehicle checked or send someone to check it.
Second week of driving the vehicle the noises were not there , and I carried on driving the vehicle without noticing any problems. Just around the end of the of April beggining of May my sister jokingly said to me my Rear Wheel don't look particulaly new , and ignored the comment as I has respect for the Hyundia didn't find the reason why the Rear wheels will be old and carried on driving the vehicle.
On the 31st August I was alerted by another person that the Rear Wheel require replacement. It is when I decided the send a picture of the Fron and Rear Wheels to the Sales Person and immediately called him on his cell , and his reply was indeed the Tyres looked worn , but I should speak with him during the week. To my surprise I was told that I will need to bring the vehicle for a couple days , but when I asked if they will provide me with another car , I was told that NO.
I then decided to take the vehicle in and told them they will not need a couple of day to see that there is something very wrong the Tyres . It was then that the took the vehicle to a Tiger Wheel and Tyre which apparently contracted to Hyundia for a Wheel Alignment. The Wheel Alignment came showing terrible misalignment , which is the cause of the Tyre wearing in that fashion and at a high speed.
The explanation given to me was that , I could have swopped the Front and Rear Wheels or I could have hit a potholes that could have caused the Rear Wheels to be out of Alignment. The two explanation where clearly from at supplier who is to protect his contract and business as the Wheels were not swopped , and the practicality of hitting a pothole with both the Rear Wheels and not with Front ones was just not even imaginable.
The Sale Person and his manager proceeded to tell me that there is nothing they can do about matter , and I should replace the Tyres on my own account. From there I tried reasoning with manager who showed no ethic and outright not technical as well. My calls not returned and emails not rep**** to.
