Hyundai Santon- ********!

In May 2020 I decided to purchase a 2018 Hyundai i20 Motion. My salesperson was Ronald Botes.

I was looking at a Mazda 2 from another car dealership based in Boksburg & Ronald Botes was aware of this.

Perhaps he was desperate to make a sale or perhaps this is how the dealership operates.

I proceeded to purchase the vehicle from Hyundai Sandton based on what was offered & confirmed by Ronald Botes, a 5 year service plan & a 7 year warranty. I thought that was excellent!

Papers signed & the car was mine.

I drove the car around for about 1 month, hooter stopped working. Booked the car in & had it replaced.

Drove the car around for another month thereafter & rust started forming on the rear area, again booked the car in & had it fixed.

Today, the 16-01-2021 I booked my car in for its annual service. I was informed by the service advisor that they cannot assist me because my service plan has been terminated, I couldn’t understand how this could be as I was informed by my sales person, Ronald Botes, that the vehicle had a 5 year service plan & a 7 year warranty. Service plan should have only expired in 2023.

I proceeded to the DP office & his first words to me is “ well do you have it in writing” - is this your tactic DP/ Hyundai Santon/ Ronald Botes?

Luckily, I have all the documentation signed on date of collection & nowhere does it state that the vehicle has a 2 year service plan or 30 000km. Perhaps Ronald Botes deliberately left out this information / did not write it in because he knew what he had told us was false and he said what he had to, to secure the deal.

Hyundai Sandton = *********, misleading, improper, untruthful and unjust.

Do not spend your hard earned money here!

You will be ****med into purchasing a vehicle on untrue terms!
