INFERIOR PRODUCT - 2024 HYUNDAI GRAND I10 SEDAN
We bought a 2024 Hyundai Grand I10 Sedan from Hyundai Sandton Kramerville in Feb 2024, Im sure that we were one of the first batch of customers to buy this Series of the Grand I10 Sedan. A big part of our decision to buy the vehicle was due to the 7 Year Warranty which the Sales Consultant is trained to brag about. Over and above that we bought the 60 000km Service plan as well as the Brakes Maintenance Plan. I recently took the car in for a service (45000km), I showed the staff the Steering damage / wear and tear. Almost seems like the sun was melting only the Top Part of the Steering, no other damage. I was told that the matter would be reported and that they will let me know when they can sort out the steering. A month passed and no one got back to me. I called in to follow up and spoke to the Service Manager this week. Yesterday I called again and sent the pictures and all information required. The feedback I received was that Warranty Department declined the claim. I have always been a loyal customer to Toyota and it was a big decision to change over to Hyundai. If a steering can melt or get damaged in under a year, it shows how inferior the brand is, We were planning on upgrading our vehicle this Year to a Mat Black Crete, but I would rather revert to a trusted brand. I do hope that Hyundai Management gets to see my review. I am highly disappointed, and if they do not take responsibility to repair the steering further, They will lose loyal customers (My Wife and I) and I will personally share my testimony with my network of friends / family / Colleagues and Acquaintances verbally and on social media. I look forward to hearing from Hyundai.
