HYUNDAI PINETOWN DISGUSTS
Worst experience from a car dealership ever. Have dealt with a salesman, Melven Pillay, who clearly has no idea or Hyundai Pinetown has no system, training or idea how things are done. Staff is poor & service offered is worse. Was given a offer to purchase, 3 weeks later messaged the salesman to query if the vehicle is still available & was told it was. Asked to sere pictures & was told it was being washed & polished to be put on the floor, informed the salesman we would wait even if it was until the end of the week but we were very interested in the car. My husband was told the car was sold & we should add more money to get it. We refused & a few hours later we got a call to make an appt to meet with the salesman the next morning at 9:00am to view the car (THE SAME CAR). The next day no answer from the salesman. My husband goes to the branch at about midday only to be told, the car was extracted by another branch to be loaned out. We were then offered to view another vehicle at another branch. The next day, my husband goes to the other branch & views the car, he informs the salesman from Pinetown that we are interested & will take the car, as instructed by him the day before. I message the salesman to ask for an invoice to pay for the car & he says he's at the other branch collecting the car, will sort out paperwork when he gets to his branch, Pinetown. Later that day, we are sent car details to get insurance quotes, which were sorted. The next day, I ask if all is in order for delivery, please can I have an invoice to pay & the salesman says he will get back to me. About 2 hours later, I get a message from him saying the car is sold to someone else, "unfortunately it is a first come first serve basis & who has more money", that is the response I got from the salesman so clearly there is no principle or respect for the client only the money. Called the head office & was assisted by a customer care consultant, Zinhle only to be told "I don't know why you calling head office, there is nothing we can do". So clearly Hyundai has no Customer care, if a vehicle is purchased, you on your own as there is not support from higher up. I really don't know what is the difference between them & your second hand dealerships around the corner, will definitely not recommend Hyundai....
