Disgusting service
Date: 22 January 2025 purchase of vehicle Picked the car after work was sold a pre owned vehicle whereby when we went to view the car before buying, the wheels were brand new. But when we picked up the car after filling in all documentation required and I drove home I could feel that there was something wrong the the wheels and the car but it was dark and could not see anything. When I woke up in the morning to check ,I found that there was a nail in the left rear wheel and the wheels that were put in the vehicle were old , and not the ones I was shown upon viewing the car which was the first red flag about this dealership.
I then called them on the 23rd January 2025 to report this and the service and treatment was absolutely disgusting as I had to fight for them to rectify their mistake they made of giving me a car with old wheels and no petrol which I had to fight and remind them of which I felt like it was broad day ******* and *********** if you ask me but I am not done there. Which confuses me I was then given a reused set of tyres to replace the old worn-out set of tyres which I was initially given. After all of this madness I was then told to use my own petrol traveling from hammersdale which is about 40km away plus R250 worth of petrol which is worth 180km on the odometer so I lost out on 40km because of Hyundai Pinetown's incompetence. There is more to this story as I am absolutely livid of the service as a paying customer I am receiving. I honestly have a good mind of canceling everything because of this disgusting service.
Exactly two months later I was yet again mistreated as a paying customer when I sent my car for its first service, I promise I am not lying of the events that followed. On the 23rd of May 2025 Hyundai Pinetown did it again when i asked my father to take my car for its first service as I could not be present due to work. So firstly before we even get to that I feel that as a customer, the first impression from your horrific dealership and being treated like gold was a facade because you wanted the commission and the sale to go through. But when it's time for you to honor all you have promised in your contracts you do the complete opposite. This is why I say this: when the car was originally purchased you picked me from my home address which is in hammarsdale funny enough. Then when my father had dropped the car off he was promised he would be returned as per your promise to an existing customer but Hyundai Pinetown did it again by dropping my father off in the middle of nowhere as they said they don't go into hammersdale. Bare in mind my father is an elderly person whom is a pensioner and was not carrying any taxi fare which I feel was completely inhumane. He had to walk for about 20km back and this is completely no good for his health as he is on medication for arthritis and hypertension. But that's not all. My father was called and instructed to to Hammarsdale junction which is quite far from where we stay to be picked by one of the guys from Hyundai Pinetown. When my father got there he then waited three hours and then received no call or update on what is going with regards to him being ignored and forgotten the whole day. Then my father had to walk another +/-10kms bare in mind this person is a pensioner and on chronic medication. I don't know whether you guys are running circus or this is a norm in terms of how you treat paying customer. So I had to use my own airtime and time during working hours to call Hyundai Pinetown to find out what on earth is going and why my father was not picked and they informed they tried calling the whole time. I myself would love to see proof of that as I, as the alternative contact and paying customer was not called and informed of anything please FORWARD THAT PROOF OF THE CALLS MADE TO BOTH MYSELF AND FATHER. You then **** to me and said you will pick him up on Saturday 24th May 2025 whereby you knew that your services are not offered on the weekend it does not end there. When I called that very same Saturday to double check when my father will be picked I was informed my car was picked up on Friday the 23rd May 2025 at 16:00pm but looked at my tracking app as I was shocked I found my vehicle was still at the very same dealership which is Hyundai Pinetown. Can someone please explain what on earth is going on?! because when I called and expressed to your staff and informed them that if they do not disclose the where abouts of my vehicle I will then be forced to contact my tracking company. Then my vehicle was "miraculously" found at the very same dealership. I then had to hire a car from my own pocket which i had to spend R300.00 worth of petrol and bare in mind I'm a paying customer at Hyundai Pinetown. I was then told the truth of the whereabouts of my car which scares me as I no longer trust you anymore that ship has long sailed.
This really had me tipping off my chair and livid I have just out of words use that's how disgusted I am. So, on the days that followed which were the 24th, 25th,26th and 27th I kept hearing a strange sound from the front wheels of my car. Remember the car went in for a service with absolutely no problems or sounds but all of a sudden I started hearing strange sounds and I know I'm not psychologically impaired. After hearing these sounds continuously, I then called them on the 5th June 2025 at 09:52am as I was fed up and felt this car will fall apart at anytime. I was then booked in for the 6th of May 2025 which I took the car in and the events followed I am amazed that I am still a customer with you. Firstly I got a call at 10:39am from Hyundai explaining they found the issue and I have to rebook another appointment on the 11th or 12th June 2025 as the machine is not operational... ARE YOU SERIOUS?! . Guess what you did, you firstly told me that my car is ready to be picked at around 11:00am. I then informed them that I will send someone to pick up my car as it was too much of a short notice for me to travel from (work) camperdown. I then called the dealership later on in the day to find out more as I kept getting calls from my tracking asking me why my car is moving around Durban and the Springfield area. Bare in mind my person whom I have sent has not arrived to pick up my car from the dealer workshop. So I decided to contact Hyundai Pinetown to find out where the vehicle was and why it is not parked ready for my person to pick it up. Guess what I was told?.... I was then told my car is being tested (in Durban and Springfield) do you have a testing ground?! I would really like to know because I too am confused. So to do this testing experiment ,there's my petrol a whole quarter full tank which is worth R600.00 of my own money. Explain this to me please and I am awaiting for that response and refund of my money or petrol as my car is not an emailing form to transport your colleagues around whilst running their personal errands which is utterly *********. So when I raised my concern with the dealership manager Sashin he blatantly **** and said I was speaking nonsense as if I was hallucinating but I know I am not on any form of mental medication for that to happen. But I do have all of the evidence which I also sent to him on his number: *** to prove him otherwise and I am yet to receive a response as he deliberately blue ticked me showing his ignorance and insolence towards my grievance. With all of this going on my and my car being taken for a joy ride whilst using my petrol and the km(s) on my car, who is going to pay for the next service?!
So with all the above which I have taken you through, and we are only in month 5 of the vehicle being purchased I dread to know what I am still going to go through with such disgraceful service as I am still left with 8 years. I fear you really do not take care of your customers you so proudly advertise about, you are running a zoo and a ****. So what I am going to assure you of is that this won't end here with this email being sent, I have also sent the very same email to hellopeter and the motor industry ombudsman of South Africa as I am one customer you really do not want fight with over something I am entitled to and paying for.
