Not a customer centric establishment
On the 15th of June I visited Hyundai harbour view on 20 Hunter St, in South Beach Durban. Prior to my arrival I called in on the 14th of June to make a booking to get my car serviced unfortunately the lady on the phone did not explain to me that they did not have transport on Saturdays, this was my first disappointment that I encounter when I at Hyundai. I had arrived promptly at 7:20 and my car was the fourth car in line to get my car serviced, my job card was at number four after being there for several hours a gentleman by the name of Sanele, called me to come to Reception to inform me that my car would not be serviced. When I asked him the reason why he told me that it was because my car was only covered for 150 km and yet I was due for 120 km Service, he was not hesitant in requesting that I leave to come back on Tuesday stating falsely falsely that liquid capital does not open on a Saturday or on a public holiday, the gentleman seemed very eager to see me go without having my car serviced. As I sat and waited for my car to be fetched from an above floor I went back to look at the contract that I have with liquid capital and when the gentleman came back I asked him a question which he then said we could go on and call liquid capital to find out as to what the outcome would be, he processed the claim for the service and it came back with the status that would not allow me to get my car serviced after he spoke to a gentleman on the phone from liquid by the name of Peter he was asked to send in previous jobs that I had done with Hyundai. I then asked to speak to an agent from Liquid Capital of wich Sanele was able to put me on the phone with and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Yohan Brits whom was also very reluctant to assisting me and told me that a decision would be made by Tuesday and after I explained to him that I could not come back on Tuesday then said they would respond in the next 20 mins.
During that time they had stopped working on my car and from being the fourth person in line ended up being number 11. Nevertheless after an hour and a half hours informed that my car would be serviced.
My biggest problem or biggest concern is that Sanele had no problem sending me away from telling me that they wouldn’t be able to assist me in servicing my car after I had woken up promptly in the morning to get there brightened early so that I would not have to spend most of the day day I was the last client to leave on the day at 12:30 in the afternoon, Sanele had no sense of urgency neither was he apologetic in the delay that he caused in my day my concern is that Hyundai Durban Central is not in anyway a customer centric establishment. I was left disappointed and dissatisfied to say the least in all aspects of my visits at Hyundai Durban Central leaving me, leaving me debating whether or not I’ll ever visit the branch ever again.
Liquid Capital also showed me a intensive agency in trying to resolve my issue unfortunately I feel I will cancel my policy with them because of the dissatisfaction that experienced with the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone. It seems that both liquid as well as Hyundai as they are partnership have no problem in sending customers away instead of wanting to fix the problems or even show any concern for their customers at all. I missed my 1st service and a year worth of payments went down the drain because the agent that helped me take the plan didn’t tell me the month I would need to go in for the 1st service, in this economy I was shattered and mostly in disbelief of the neglect agent.
