False Advertising

In March 2025 I purchased a JBL Flip 6 speaker. When I received it, the sound wasn't too great but I thought that was just a setting or an issue with my phone. In December 2025, we met up with some friends that have the same speaker. They are supposed to be able to link together and play surround sound. Mine would not link up with theirs. Tried linking it on different phones but still would not. Then I downloaded the JBL app and tried setting up my speaker but the JBL app could not find my speaker. It found my friends speaker immediately. When we tried the buttons on my JBL, a Chinese voice said something incoherent. Turned out this was a Chinese knockoff and not an original JBL Flip 6. Then also noticed that the button configuration on my JBL was not the same as my friends. Tried logging 2 calls, days apart, with Hyperli but was just ignored. Sent them an email and they came back saying they can't accept a return because it had been too long. I didn't want to returned it because it was faulty, I wanted a refund because the falsely advertised that this was a JBL Flip 6, when it clearly is not. More like a fong kong 6. Now they ignore my emails as well and avoiding me. Do not buy brand names from them, they are knockoffs that do not work like the originals.
