Disgusting and Humiliating service from one of your partners

Me and my wife were celebrating our one year anniversary and decided to go purchase a Hyperli Voucher through our sister to dine at Zen Fusion Emperor's Palace.

We contacted the establishment on 24 Sep 2018 at 10:38am to makes a booking for 5:30pm the same day. We again, were contacted by a gentleman from the establishment at 3:53pm to confirm if we are still coming and we said yes.

Upon our arrival, the owner was at the man desk she assigned us a waitress and asked us to sit outside the restaurant because unfortunately inside they had a private function. We didn't mind sitting outside. The waitress came through to advise that she will be bringing along the drinks menu. About 20 minutes later we were told to LEAVE because they had a private function by a gentleman by the name of King. What's more appauling is that they did accept that the error was with them but they basically told us to come back another day . We then told them that since the error was with them (humiliation, letting us drive over 45km from ROODEPOORT to The East Rand) they must refund us our voucher money same time so that we can atleast go and enjoy our Anniversary somewhere else. The owner Alice Zhang had no respect for us whatsoever and dismissed us,failing to even take ownership made by her staff regarding the booking. to her ,we were just pestering her ,she had bigger things to deal with not us

No one deserves what we went through. What's even worse is that I my wife is 7 and a half months pregnant. Even when telling them that, they had no care in the world. SHOCKING AND DISAPPOINTING.

WHAT I WANT TO ACHIEVE OUT OF THIS:

To have a formal complaint lodged and placed on record against this establishment. They must compensate us for the humiliation, negligence and disregard of our basic consumer rights. Especially being humiliated me and my 7 and a half months pregnant wife. We also have recording of the conversation to bring light on what transpired .
