Overall pretty great.

Firstly, I do understand where the negative reviews are coming from but personally they seem a bit too harsh for the most part.

I am completely new to software engineering and coding in general, there have been quite a few frustrating times so far where I've felt both the material and even assignment questions have been a bit too vague to either understand what is trying to be explained or asked of you, but it doesn't take much to get it cleared up and get you put back on track, it probably would help having a background already in this sort of field to help you through the course though.

Considering the course length and cost I would say it's understandable you would need to do your own research and get help from mentors or fellow students more than you would be happy with - but you need to remember the course is only 3-6 months depending what you choose, this isn't a full on university course where each and everything can be explained in the greatest of detail over a long period of time, you are going to need dedication and have to put in a lot of your own effort as well. The suggested deadlines are a bit odd for each assignment, all given two days to finish, they don't have to be completed and submitted by then but that's what is suggested for each to keep on track, that hasn't been possible for me as the course gets more in-depth.

I haven't had much of a problem with support or mentors, at times it has been a bit delayed getting a response but they have all been very helpful.

I like the way assignments are marked and the feedback you receive on it all, only thing is if there are things that are suggested you work on or change it would help if it were explained in some sort of detail or given an example on how you can work on it at least, not just told in a basic way it's either this or that you should change.

So far overall I have had a pretty great experience at HyperionDev, there are things that can be worked on as mentioned but I can't really ask for more than what I've received.
