Not what was promised

First i do hope, Hyperiondev does improve their mentorship & support mechanism after the survey we completed in July 2020.

For a complete beginner, with zero background or even support, the programme in software engineering (online) was simply overwhelming, short time frames for submissions and lots of research from each individual. (70% self-study sites like stackoverflow and tutorialspoint...)

Mentorship - complete frustration, in the feedback one received, confusing pseudo and lack of 1-on-1 focussed mentorship that is being promised (One mentor saved me for a number of days his name is Imraan - only wish he was my mentor from inception)

Course content - Looks like bits and pieces from different sources (maybe the cost of the course = the number of hours it took for these to be compiled into a doc)

Marking - It took forever at times to get a response, mind you direct messages to the mentor were being ignored many times.

Value - what i learned against what i paid, is ridiculously embarassing to say the least, I am learning more free of charge from LinkedIn courses, Alison and some youtube videos, in short i am of the opinion Hyperion is not for everyone, their marketing campaign is biased to lead people to sign up. - The first question i asked on Java - was ignored, being forced into thinking you are bothering people when you were promised expert mentors is the worst, 2 - 3 weeks before my support ends, then you get a sincere message reminding you of the options you have if you are struggling the same options that failed you.

Imraan {Star} - is the only reason i am rating this institution 2 stars, for anyone who is going to try them, i hope you get Imraan as a mentor!

In my last email to the school - i had said i am not going to complain on such platforms, this is just to give others a heads up as you are rating yourselves on youtube.

The mentor i had, apparently left the school - whether they resigned or were fired, that is a question, i may never get a response to.

Lastly - If you can, force this institution to show you a chart of how many students in your chosen course have taken it and how many were successful + the reason for failures, unlike myself, make a wise decision with your last cent and demand good service from day 1.

My fault - I did not become a nuisance, when i needed to and i wasted lots of days doing research instead of just asking why did i pay for the course if i am being forced to study on my own.
