Shocking

I booked dinner for my brother's birthday party, shocking enough after all the effort the cake was not not done , but they confirmed everything only to dissapoint me last minute on his special day . I find this truly disturbing. Why will they agree then later dissapoint. Can someone explain to me how is this possible
