I am having issues getting registered as an assessor right off the bat, let alone reregistered. I actually borrowed money to qualify as an assessor and have 11 years of experience in the field that I am looking to assess in - seems as though that counts for nothing. Quite frankly, a directive should be sent to all training providers that if prospective learners do not have a diploma or degree in the field in which they intent to assess or moderate they should not accept the learner for assessor or moderator unit standards, it's just a waste of the learner's money, time and effort. They do not even offer you the courtesy of identifying where your supposed deficiency is, all I got was one sentence, "***** has denied your registration", that's it. I think the deficiency is more melanin related than any thing else.
