Poor Customer service

My Fiancé and I were looking forward to eating out at the Hussar Grill for our 4th year Anniversary however only to be disappointed by the customer service.

During the day on Friday, I called to check if we will be able to reserve a table for 6pm, I was told “No” over the phone by a male as there was a show and that it was grantee that the restaurant will be full. The individual informed me to come after 7pm.

Myself and my fiancé arrived after 7pm as instructed, only to be approached by the Hostess. She asked us if we have a reservation. At this point I was completely stunned as I was told telephonically earlier that day that they did not do reservations. I quoted the conversation to the hostess who in turn then rephrased and said “ I meant to ask if you are going to the show”. I said no. If I had said yes, then a table would be available for us. The hostess said “ unfortunately, there Is no tables available at the moment, you can wait here at our bar or come back after an hour when the show starts.” We agreed and left. As we walked past the open area of the restaurant, we noticed about 3 tables opened and on the green area where the sofas are there was 2 tables opened.

At this point I was fuming because I was blatantly **** to. When we came back after 45minutes, she said they still busy clearing up the tables, once again we had to wait. As we took our seats at the bar , a waiter then escorted us towards the open area. Now let me just clear this up, all individuals who “fit” a certain criteria were escorted to the “green area” so to say fine dining area. There was a clear issue with “upper class and lower class” or I should say blazers opposed to hoodies.

We were escorted to the table which was vacant from the first time we arrived there which was behind the door inside the restaurant. We did not feel comfortable so we asked to move to the middle of the open area, table for Two.

After our order was taken, about 20min later the family that was jovial arrived, from where I was sitting I could see and hear that the family requested to be seated by the green sofa area. They were declined. The hostess and I think manager escorted them to our side. Two tables were put together for their family. The tables were so close to ours that we were basically having supper with the other family. The one gentlemen of the family struggled to get into his seat as he had to pass me and his back was directly in front of me . His chair was against our table. So The waitress was struggling to get the families order because she had to stand over to take down their order.

So we ate, paid and left. Apparently they give complimentary sweet potato chips and g****s. No such thing was offered at all. I do not usual complain but there was a clear statement made at this restaurant.
