I informed the owner that my ride on mower is very old. And that there was a problem with the bearings on the runner.

I was told “no problem they would look and quote on the repair.”

Apparently after 2 hours of work and some phone calls- it was concluded that the parts were not available (because the mower was too old).

Costs for this sage advice 1500 Rand.
