Hurricane Mobile refuses to reinstall crashed Android software on purchased phone
I bought a Hurricane Atlas mobile phone at Festival Mall in Kempton Park on the 10/12/2017. A few weeks after purchase, the phone had software failure. I took it to Edgars Active where they sent for repairs. I used the phone until July 2018, then the software crashed again. I took the phone to CNA Southgate Mall. At CNA they made few calls to book the phone for repairs but came back to me saying, they cannot take the phone since they want phone with charger, earphones, screensaver and back cover. I have since misplaced the backcover and the screensaver peeled off. I am not requesting replacement of the phone but repair so I don't understand why Hurricane Mobile refuses to repair the phone, broke because of their fault. The screensaver and backcover has absolutely nothing to do with crashed Android software unless they can prove otherwise. I have their charger, earphones and proof of purchase. Hurricane Mobile and its partner, Edcon Group, are using tricks to evade their responsibility to repair a phone with manufacturer's fault.
