Unacceptable Accommodation at Hunters Nest Guest House
I am writing to lodge a formal and urgent complaint regarding a booking I made through (accommodation platform) at Hunters Nest Guest House for three of my employees, for the nights of 2nd, 3rd and 4th June.
The listing on your website presents this guest house as a decent and respectable establishment. However, upon arrival, my employees were appalled to discover that the venue is clearly operating as a place where individuals take **********s. There is a signboard openly advertising rates “per hour” , which leaves no doubt about the nature of this establishment.
Furthermore, the condition of the property is completely unacceptable:
* No toilet seats * Filthy, unhygienic bathrooms * The general state of the rooms is in severe disrepair
This is a deeply embarrassing and unprofessional situation for any employer to be faced with, especially after relying on (accommodation platforms), which I had expected to list only vetted and reputable accommodation.
I urgently request that (Accommodation platform) immediately assist in finding suitable, clean, and professional alternative accommodation for three adult men for tonight, 3 June, and tomorrow, 4 June. The current conditions are uninhabitable, and my employees cannot be expected to stay there.
Additionally, I would like to know:
* Does (SA Accommodation Platforms) inspect or verify the properties listed on their site? * What quality assurance process do they follow before allowing places like this to appear on their platforms?
Please treat this as extremely urgent. I have photographic evidence of the conditions, open packages of ******s and even closed ******s in the cupboard’s discovered, these can be provided upon request. Unfortunately, I do not have some of the signage board, as my employees are all married men and does not want their wife’s to be concerned.
Furthermore Hunters Nest Guest House refuses to refund for second and third date paid and leaving us to search for proper accommodation and pay again.
What is worse, they appear on all SA accommodation platforms with reputable pictures shown.
